July-September 2015 Newsletter
The July, August, September 2015 newsletter has been converted to a pdf file that you can print yourself. We hope this is helpful to every one.
Join us for a Row-by-Row H20 Experience
How about this...A shop hop event with no fees, no passports and all summer to play? Simply visit any of the participating shops and receive a free pattern for a row in a quilt. Combine your rows in any way to create a unique quilt that represents the fun you had traveling throughout the summer. Travel with friends, discover new quilt shops and have fun collecting rows!
Create a quilt using at least 8 different rows and be the first to bring it into a participating shop to win a stack of 25 fat quarters (6 1/4 yards of fabric!) Use that shop's row in your quilt and win a bonus prize! The finished quilt must be completed, quilted, bound and have a label on the back. We'd like to hang the winner's quilt in our store until October 31, 2015.
Our row is on display. We're excited to be part of this experience and hope you will join in on the fun this summer.
Travel and collect rows: June 21 - September 8, 2015
(We will be open on Monday, June 22, 2015)
Bring in completed quilt for prize by October 31, 2015
Check out the INTERACTIVE GOOGLE MAP where all participating shops will be marked. You can view your route and see which shops along the way are participating. Then stop by to pick up your pattern and kit to make your row.
Tell your friends and bring them with you!
Join us the first Saturday of every month for a demonstration in the store. They will last approximately 30 minutes and special discounts will apply to these items.
from 10:00 - 10:30 AM or

Saturday, September 12 , Microwave Safe holders with Kay
This is the SECOND SATURDAY, since the first Saturday is a holiday weekend.
The bowls come in 3 sizes. They give you an easy way to get bowls out of the microwave without potholders or burning your fingers. They could be used to hold cold dishes, too, while you enjoy ice cream. They are easy to make for your own kitchen or as gifts for friends.
Saturday, October 3 , Slumber Party with Joyce
Playtime friends are all snuggled up in cozy sleeping bags, ready for a camp-out or slumber party! A stylish zipper with contrast trim is simple to sew, and the quick and easy flannel style is perfect for beginners.
These small sleeping bags make a cute gift for any special occasion. The pattern includes 4 sizes and 2 styles. It’s a quick and simple project. Joyce will show you how.
Saturday, November 7 , Tree skirt with Nancy
Saturday, December 5 , Edge to Edge embroidery with Midge
Midge invites you to come to a demonstration of Edge-to-Edge Quilting on your Embroidery Machine. She learned about this technique from the book by Amelie Scott using her specially-designed embroidery files which come in 3 sizes from 5.6x9.9 to 7.8x13.8. With that range of sizes, you can use these designs on most any embroidery machine. There are also some built in edge to edge designs on the BERNINA 770! She looks forward to sharing the tips and tricks she learned as she used this technique (although she's pretty proud of the quilting on her first attempt.....it's that easy! It does look like it was done on a long arm.)
Sit 'n' Sew
